Taby (“the App”) is developed and maintained by THE COOL COMPANY (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.
All notes, tabs, images, and settings you create in the App are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to your content.
For the purposes of advertising attribution and product analytics, the App collects limited technical data through third-party SDKs (see “Third-Party Services” below). This data may include:
This data is used for measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and understanding how features are used to improve the App. It is not linked to your notes or personal content. No message text, tab titles, images, or other user-created content is ever transmitted.
The App integrates the following third-party services:
AppsFlyer — used for advertising attribution and campaign measurement. AppsFlyer may collect device identifiers, IP address, and app events. AppsFlyer’s use of this data is governed by AppsFlyer’s Privacy Policy.
PostHog — used for anonymous product analytics to understand feature usage and improve the App. PostHog receives only metadata (e.g., which features are used, event counts, app version) and never receives any user-created content. Data is processed on EU servers. PostHog’s use of this data is governed by PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat — used to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID, purchase and subscription history, device identifiers, and IP address. This data is used solely to process and validate subscriptions. RevenueCat does not receive any user-created content. RevenueCat’s use of this data is governed by RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
The App does not integrate any other third-party services such as crash reporting services or social media login SDKs.
When you first open the App, you will be asked whether you allow tracking via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, no advertising identifiers (IDFA) will be shared with third parties. You can change this choice at any time in your device Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal content (notes, images, or settings) to any third party. The only data shared with third parties is the limited technical data described above, transmitted to AppsFlyer for advertising attribution and to PostHog for anonymous product analytics.
The App allows you to attach photos from your photo library or camera. These images are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The advertising attribution data described above is collected in the same manner for all users.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the updated “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
